Course Description
This accelerated course on safeguard orders will allow both new and more experienced Superior Court of Québec judges to refresh their knowledge of the law and procedure related to safeguard orders in the context of family law, including the directives applicable in their division. It will also allow judges to apply the urgency test to various common applications at that stage of the proceedings, and to benefit from the advice of experienced judges on file preparation, drafting orders, and conducting proceedings.
This tool provides succinct answers to the questions you may ask yourself when issuing a safeguard order. It is meant to be easy to use, with clear and concise answers as well as practical applications.
